(visited by Ross Finlayson)

30-May-2026 -- I’m on my almost-annual road trip through the U.S. mountain west, and will (of course) try to visit some ‘forgotten’ Degree Confluence Points during my trip. This first visit was not to a forgotten point, but rather a return visit to a point that I had previously visited 13 years ago (and again by Shawn Fleming two years later). I remember the point being quite beautiful, so I wanted to return, to get a ‘drone’s eye’ view.

From Twin Falls, I took a series of (paved and gravel) roads, ending up less than 0.2 miles north of the point, which lies on a west-facing sagebrush-covered slope. Countless Mormon crickets were swarming across the road as I drove to and from the point, and were also swarming along the ground near the point. It’s that time of the year...

Here is a remote-controlled aerial video of this confluence point.
