05-Sep-2026 -- This confluence is somewhat near where I live, and I decided to take a Saturday to check it out. Heading south down highway 39 from Blackfoot, ID, I turned right onto 1400 South Rd, and followed it to just south of the confluence point. I decided to continue to the intersection and turn north, where there is a pull off and a dirt track that gets you close to the confluence. After a very short walk, I was at the spot.

The confluence is in a depression that makes it hard to see the surroundings. The area is surrounded to the east and south by farm land, and to the north and west by sagebrush and short grass, all of which is dry and brown this time of year. Because of rain a few days before, the air was pretty clear, and I was able to see mountains at a distance. After reading the previous visits, I was curious to see if the confluence sagebrush was still there and alive. It was still there, but most of it is now dead. There are just a couple green tips, visible in picture two.

When I went to take the pictures, I realized that I had forgot to bring an SD card with my camera. Luckily there was just enough internal storage for the few pictures I wanted!

I finished off the trip with a visit to the Lariat Cave, located to the southeast, which is nearish to this confluence.
