DCP: (visit #5)

25-Sep-2026 -- From Richmond, Virginia, I made a detour to the northeast to visit this Degree Confluence Point while en route to Baltimore airport. (This was my last visit to a Degree Confluence Point during this East Coast vacation.) I was glad to leave the freeway, because I ended up driving through a rustic countryside, filled with beautiful farms (and beautiful farmhouses).

On Essex Church Road, I parked at the turnoff to a farm path at [37.99909,-77.00956], 0.53 miles West of the point. This farm path passed just 440 feet South of the point, which lay in a corn field (so unfortunately the directional photos from the ground all looked much the same).

I launched my drone from the farm path to get an overhead view of the point, and the farmland to the North.
