03-Sep-2000 -- Having a quiet Sunday morning, I decided to go
for a drive and get two confluences that are nearby. This confluence is in the
north part of the San Luis Valley. It is mainly a farm and ranch area. I drove
to Hwy 17 and headed north to Moffat and turned left when I got to county
rd-T. I stopped next to a fenced pasture after driving west for 5.1 miles. It was
a 1/2 mile walk through the pasture to get to the point. Most of the land near
here is ranch land with a few irrigated fields nearby. There is a lot of sage
brush and grass in the area, but surrounded with a great view of the mountains.
Headed south on hwy-17 to get the next confluence point.
