MPEG movie of the confluence:
26-May-2001 -- Michelle and I left our place in Lafayette, CO around 10:30 AM. We were armed with a laptop computer, a GPS, a digital camera (borrowed from work) and an atlas as well as some snacks and drinks. We drove west on I-70 for about two hours until we reached the town of Flagler. We then headed south from Flagler. After about seventeen miles of trolling down dirt farm roads we go to exactly 39 degrees north. The confluence was about a quarter mile to the west in a field of un-ripe wheat. I headed cross country in to the wheat while Michelle stayed with the car. When I came to the exact spot I quickly took some pictures before I was caught. We then headed home.
