04-Jun-2001 -- This confluence is near the western shores of Utah Lake. It was just after sunset when I visited. Although there are many farms and fruit orchards in the area, this spot is not cultivated. It is in the foothills. I saw sagebrush and jack rabbits.
Elberta is the nearest town, but also nearby is Eureka, a center of mining activity in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It is filled with vacant buildings and businesses and abandoned mine works.
The full moon was just rising. It was a beautiful evening.
