30-Jun-2001 -- I have returned a second time and I have taken the photographs.
02-Jun-2001 -- On Saturday 2 June of 2001, I was at the intersection of parallel 40º North and
meridian 3º West. The name of the place is Tarancón. It is some 232
metres away from a restaurant called Pilcar. Close to it there is a
sweet shop, where it is possible to buy some typical sweets, like
"Borrachos". They are on the edge of the former N-III Valencia-Madrid
road.
The intersection point is on farming soil, and I found very near (at
82 metres) a cylinder laid on the ground. I suspect that the cylinder
could have been a landmark, put right at the intersection point by
someone a long time ago; and later the owner of the terrain could move
that stone in order to get more place for crops.
The accuracy was 5 metres in my Garmin Etrex.
I didn't take photographs.
