05-Aug-2000 -- Along Interstate 70 out in the middle of the state of Kansas near the N39W99 confluence is the little town of Russell. This is the home town of 1996 Republican Presidential Candidate Bob Dole. The confluence itself, as usual for the middle of Kansas, was out in the middle of a weed field about 500 feet from a country road.
