10-Jul-2001 -- Having spoken to a couple of people whom I know that live in this area I felt it should be possible to get within reasonable walking distance of this confluence. It is just in Victoria in an area which is uncleared native mallee scrub and although it looks as though it is part of the Murray - Sunset National Park it is in fact on private property.
I decided to approach it from the west and south and drove down some rather rough back roads looking for a track that I was assured went to the east. After taking one false lead I eventually found the correct track and proceeded east to the 141 meridian.
The confluence was about 200 metres due south of where I stopped the car.
The scrub is reasonably thick but walking was easy. There is nothing to identify the correct spot.
WARNING - This area is virtually not inhabitated and is very light sandy soil. A vehicle can easily become bogged in sand in summer when there is no moisture around. A hand held GPS or compass would be necessary to find the way back when walking off the track.
