22-Jul-2001 -- On a very hot and muggy afternoon Chris and I drove about 45 miles to this location. Much to our amazement we were able to find and navigate down ever narrowing roads right to the spot that I had previously picked out on the map as the best place to park. It was definitely a location that you would not just stumble upon, you would have to intentionally want to go there. We parked next to a farm house and received permission from the owners to walk to the confluence which was about 15 meters in the woods from where the vehicle was parked. We spent about 10 minutes wandering the woods to find the exact spot. While in the woods a very loud thunderstorm passed overhead. We thought we were going to get wet but there was a very thick canopy overhead and we only felt a few drops while pictures were taken. A nice side benefit was a distinct atmospheric cool-down, which was welcomed. We then went back, thanked the owners, and left. All in all it was a very pleasant and enjoyable trip.
