27-Jul-2001 -- As I was on Eyre Peninsula to visit my brother who has the latest very detailed CD maps of the area at his disposal, I had a good look at them and then drove to this confluence without any trouble. However it is on private land and rather hard to find and is not very exciting.
Nigel Eylward of 'Eylwarra Sands' who has Murray Grey cattle and lives on Eylward Lane says the army put a marker in the area during World War II. It is not on the exact confluence and I did not notice it.
The area is very light white sand with limestone and is just south of Hincks Conservation Park which is over 150,000 acres of basically inaccessible scrub (and is home to 'millions' of kangaroos).
