26-Jul-2001 -- I believed that it should be possible to get very close to this confluence by travelling on the old National Highway 1. Coming from the north on the new highway if you turn right about 1.25 km north of the confluence you are on a section of the old highway. This takes you within 150 metres of the required spot. In fact it is possible to get even closer (as I did) by crossing the railway line.
The confluence is in a small clearing almost surrounded by scrub.
The photo shows the view to the west with the car this side of the railway. The old highway is between the railway and the buildings which are remnants of an old farm.
