23-Aug-2001 -- We visited the N48/W54 confluence on the 23 of aug 2001. We decided to place a geocache in the area as well. In true Newfoundland form this point was about 6 metres from the shore in a pond(my gps at the time was accurate to + or - 8 metres.). I did wade out in the pond to get the picture. The close up of the gps did not come out unforunately. The ones Blair took of me in the pond did come out however. The other pictures of north, south, east, and west were taken from the location we placed our geocache, about 200 meters from the confluence. This gave a much futher view of the landscape, since the confluence point was in a valley.
