16-Nov-2001 -- I was planning a cycle from Glasgow back to Edinburgh when I realised I would be passing the 56N 4W confluence. It was only a couple of miles from my route following the Forth Clyde Canal, so I decided to go for it.
I had taken the train through to Glasgow that morning and so after Geocaching near Milnagavie, I set off by bike to the confluence. It was a mild but slightly overcast day, fine for cycling. On leaving the Canal route I headed North to the village of Banton. The confluence is through a couple of fields, very muddy fields (what is it about confluences and mud in the UK?).
After introducing myself to the sheep and explaining to them what I was here for, I set about finding the exact spot and taking the pictures. Not the most exotic North view, sorry. There are better, clearer views on Douglas Chappelle's visit.
Anyway, another confluence down, several more to go.
