09-Dec-2001 -- It's been a long hike to reach the point. We started our journey in the early morning, temperature was about-5c. Weather was just great and we knew it would be long since there was a 1200m elevation to hike. Everything went OK and we even saw mountain goats. You could even see them on picture 1 at the top right (small black dots). We had a couple rests on the way, you can see the small cabin we stopped at. It has just one bed and a small table, but it's nice to find it there. Hopefully since the access to the point uses a path in the southern slope, snow was not present and it made it easier. The summit just north of the point is yet at 200m elevation away and it took me 30' to get there. It's called "le petit Renaud", elev 2606m. Home of mountain goats and eagles, very close to the Oisans National Park. The view from the summit is gorgeous. Well it's a nice confluence point not so easy to reach. Finally, it took us almost the day to get there and back to our home in Grenoble.
