24-Nov-2001 -- My girlfriend and I played on the Internet and found this interesting site. Well, Friday night we packed a picnic basket and Saturday morning off we went with my Garmin e-Trex, no map, no idea, where we were going, only 27S 27E.

We ended up on a farm, met some nice people who took us with their 4X4 vehicle through the veld to our mission and destination. My car is a low profile and can't drive in the veld. We know how Neil Armstrong had to feel. Not that we were the first to set foot there, but to explore.

The photos that we took were from North anti-clockwise back to North. The last photo is my girlfriend, the beacon and myself. It felt so nice we immediatly set off for 26S 27E.
