This confluence had already been visited by Breno Fortes in December 1st, 2001. However, he could not take any pictures of it. Because of that, it has been considered as an attempt of conquering.

Last Sunday, thinking about going for a light walk, I decided to register it. Ivete, who is a new confluence hunter, was my partner in one more conquest. It was a 520km long trip throughout a very beautiful region. It was eleven o'clock in the morning when we got the BR-040 from Brasília to Luziânia - GO, where we could have some food. Then, we went back to the highway. At that time, it was the GO-010, passing through cities like Vianópolis, São Miguel do Passa Quatro, Cristianópolis and finally arriving at Bela Vista de Goiás.

It was a very beautiful scenery due to the fact that it had been raining a lot. The state of Goiás is a big producer of soy, corn, and it also has a big herd of cattle. The green coming from the plantations is always present at the border of the highway.

We had three enemies against us in our hunting. The first one was the weather; it was firm, but it could rain. The second one was the time, because we had arrived at Bela Vista at 6 o'clock in the evening. It was a rainy day, and any unexpected thing would mix up the pictures with the scenery around the confluence. The third one was the GPS. I had my new GPS borrowed, but I decided to go with the old one, anyway. However, it was not in very good conditions. It indicates the position correctly, but it suddenly freezes. Then, it is necessary to take the batteries away and make a new setup. It might work well for one minute, or for one hour. In the beggining, it did not work. Patiently, I had to reconfigurate it. Only then, it could work well until the end of the mission.

Before the city entrance, the GPS was indicating to the right. We found a small road in this direction. Initially, it was paved. Then, it was not anymore. It was a good road, anyway. Remembering what Breno Fortes mentioned, I realized that we were on the right way.

When the GPS indicated to the right, like magic, there was another small road exactly in that direction. We had followed it and stopped at a maize plantation recently planted. It was raining a little bit, but it stopped quickly. There was nobody in the farm. Maybe later, we can get in touch with them in order to explain the meaning of our visit.

We had walked for around 90 meters, and then we found the right point. It was very easy!

It was almost at night when we marked the confluence and took some pictures of it. It is 735m high. We bought some rural products (cheese, flour, sweets, and other things) and came back home.

By virtue of this confluence, I had the pleasure of knowing new places and its beauties in another part of the Goiás State, central region of Brazil.

Esta confluência já havia sido visitada pelo Breno Fortes em 01 de dezembro de 2001, mas ele não conseguiu fazer o registro fotográfico. Por isso, ficou apenas como uma tentativa de conquista.

Neste último domingo, pensando em fazer um passeio e uma caminhada leve, resolvi registra-la. Às 10h da manhã, resolvi fazer a caminhada. A Ivete, uma nova caçadora de confluências, topou a tarefa e foi minha parceira em mais esta conquista.

Foram cerca de 520km de passeio por uma região muito bonita. O relógio acusava 11h quando pegamos a BR-040 de Brasília até Luziânia - GO. Almoçamos por lá, e depois voltamos à estrada. Desta vez a GO-010, passando pelas cidades de Vianópolis, São Miguel do Passa Quatro, Cristianópolis e finalmente Bela Vista de Goiás.

Uma paisagem muito bonita pois estamos na estação das chuvas. O Estado de Goiás, é grande produtor de soja, milho, e tem um grande rebanho bovino. O verde das plantações está sempre presente à margem da rodovia.

Tínhamos três adversários conspirando contra nossa caçada. O primeiro era o clima. Mantinha-se firme, mas ameaçando chover. O segundo era o tempo, pois chegamos a Bela Vista depois das 18h do horário de verão. Como o dia era chuvoso, qualquer imprevisto atrapalharia as fotos da paisagem em torno da confluência. O terceiro era o GPS. O meu GPS novo estava emprestado e arrisquei fazer a caçada com o meu GPS velho que está com defeito. Ele aponta a posição corretamente, mas subitamente pode congelar e é necessário retirar-lhe as pilhas e religar e fazer um novo setup. Pode funcionar bem por 1 minuto, ou 1 hora. De início travou. Com a maior paciência, fui novamente reconfigurá-lo. Daí, funcionou direitinho até o fim da missão.

Pouco antes da entrada da cidade, o GPS apontava para nossa direita. Achamos uma estradinha nesta direção. Inicialmente asfalto, e depois de terra. Estradinha boa esta! Lembrando do relato do Breno Fortes, vi que estávamos na estrada certa.

Quando o GPS apontou para nossa direita, como que por encanto, apareceu outra estradinha exatamente nesta direção. Seguimos por ela, e paramos ao lado de um milharal recentemente plantado.

Estava chuviscando um pouco, mas rapidamente passou. Não havia ninguém na Fazenda. Em uma próxima oportunidade, entraremos em contato com eles para tentar explicar o significado de nossa visita.

Andamos cerca de 90 metros, e achamos o ponto exato. Desta vez foi muito fácil! Demarcamos a confluência, fizemos as fotos, já estava anoitecendo. A altitude é de 735m. Fizemos umas compras de produtos rurais (queijos, farinhas, doces, etc.) e voltamos para casa.

Graças a mais esta confluência, tive o prazer de conhecer melhor a beleza de outra parte do Estado de Goiás, região central do Brasil.
