16-Feb-2002 -- Estonia is a small country with full GSM coverage and with too many wolwes. Quite not in Euro-fashion, their population is being hunted down to a reasonable figure.
Similarly, when choosing certain right directions, you can walk 10-20 km without actually meeting any human being but possibly waking up a sleeping&nursing mother bear. Well, and this easily could happen in 4 hour drive from a 5-star hotel.
Then - Tammessaare (The Island of Oaks - oaktree is rare and holy in Estonia) is only a geographic name not anything you can locate on the fly. Better adhere to Vadi - as small clearly identified village exactly 2 km from the confluence, see picture #6.
I decided to fill the gaps and visit two previously unvisited confluences as a weekend project.
Anyway, this one was a very accessible and an extremely characteristic one. It was possible to leave the car at some 150 m from the goal. In summer one could drive nearer up to 20m distance.
The confluence is located 50m from a country cottage straight on the potato field. I surely visited the very confluence but due to my old non-averaging Garmin 45XL I did not catch the very moment ;)
On main picture (#1) the view of traditional Estonian yell and old "saun" (similar to Finnish sauna) is presented.
To guard owner's private life, the following views are taken from a bit apart but well within the 100 m circle.
I have to add that being an addict of GNU copyleft (rather than copyright), I do not restrict you in whatever you do with the text and pictures, up to the level pictures are replaced by the better ones made by future successors.
