24-Mar-2002 -- This is our second trip to visit confluences in Sweden during winter time. Going further north, we take ski with us which most of the times is very helpfull to reach the points.

Because of spring almost arriving in the middle of the country, we can sleep in our car throughout the whole journey. This part of Sweden is not very crowded, so we always look at smiling faces when we pass another car from time to time. Swedish people are very helpfull. We borrowed a shovel to dig out a car which rested in deep snow beside the highway and were pulled out by a 4WD when we got stuck at a restingplace.

To reach this point we had to climp up from 450 m to 770 m which looks quit difficult on the map. But lucky we are, it takes only about 90 minutes to walk and ski the 4 km direct way. The forest clears at about 600 m and white slightly wavy landscape lies in front of us. What a nice view. The sun is shining and all you can hear is the murmur of a small river way down below.

Some elks must have been here earlier, you can still see their footprints.
