21-Apr-2002 -- Tras realizar una primera confluencia el pasado 18 de Marzo y después de ver la publicación de la misma, se planteó, en el seno familiar, la posibilidad de realizar una nueva confluencia pero con el concurso y la presencia de todos los miembros de esta familia.

Estudiadas las posibilidades, pareció interesante intentar realizar la confluencia situada cerca de Albacete, por la proximidad a nuestro lugar de residencia, Murcia, lo que nos permite realizar un viaje de ida y vuelta en el mismo día.

Además, abría la posibilidad de poder ver a una persona conocida, Belén Iniesta, antigua compañera de estudios de la Licenciatura en Filosofía y Letras, rama de Geografía, de M ª Encina.

Y manos a la obra.

El Domingo 21 de Abril, salimos de Murcia sobre las diez y media de la mañana, tras tomar la oportuna biodramina (fármaco contra el mareo).

Sobre la 11:45 llegamos a Albacete, momento en que César demuestra por qué necesita tomar fármacos contra el mareo, y donde recogemos a Belén, contactada, para su gran sorpresa, desde el teléfono móvil en el trayecto.

Tras los oportunos saludos, nos situamos sobre el terreno y comenzamos la aproximación al punto de confluencia con los mapas y GPS.

Esto nos lleva a un camino de tierra que se adentra en un verde mar de cultivos de cebada. Siguiendo este camino llegamos a un punto en el que se señala la posición del punto objetivo en la perpendicular del camino, hacia la izquierda y a unos 140 metros.

Paramos y comenzamos a caminar entre la cebada guiados por el GPS, muy aleccionados por Belén para que no estropear el cultivo, hasta que la pantalla se llena de ceros.

Hemos llegado a nuestro punto de confluencia de manera rápida y sin grandes complicaciones.

Creo que sorprendidos por estar buscando algo que no se ve, en medio de la llanura manchega, rodeados de verde y planicie por todos lados, el grupo parece aceptar que ha encontrado ese algo un poco esotérico y no se si de fácil explicación y comprensión.

Un punto de confluencia de un meridiano y un paralelo.....en el datum WGS84....Parece que es un momento para la meditación. Tras las oportunas fotografías en un ambiente algo caluroso y con el hambre amenazando, nos dirigimos hacia nuestro vehículo y hacia un merendero muy próximo, creo que el Mesón del Águila, donde reponemos fuerzas con la sensación del objetivo alcanzado.

A continuación nos dirigimos a Albacete, donde damos un pequeño paseo por el centro de esta bonita ciudad y, tras tomar un helado y plantear volver a vernos, nos despedimos de Belén e iniciamos el viaje de regreso a Murcia, a donde llegamos a media tarde sin otro particular.

Y termina esta experiencia, con la esperanza de que lo visto y vivido pueda ayudar a comprender y saber algo más sobre el sitio en que vivimos, la Tierra.

21-Apr-2002 -- After carrying out a first confluence the past March 18, and after seeing the publication of the same one, was presented, in the family breast, the possibility of carrying out a new confluence but with the contest and the presence of all the members of this family.

Studied the possibilities, seemed interesting to try to carry out the confluence situated near Albacete, by the proximity to our place of residence, Murcia, what permits us to carry out a trip of departure and return in the same day. Besides, it opened the possibility of being able to see a known person, Belén Iniesta, old companion of studies of Philosophy and Letters, branch of Geography, of M ª Encina.

And hands to the work.

Sunday April 21, we come out of Murcia upon the ten thirty of the morning, after taking the opportune one ”biodramina” (drug against the I make dizzy). Upon the 11:45 we arrive at Albacete, moment in which César shows why needs to take drug against the I make dizzy, and where we collect to Belén, contacted, for his great surprise, since the mobile telephone in the trajectory.

After the opportune greetings, we situate ourselves upon the land and we begin the approximation of the point of confluence with the maps and GPS.

This it carries us to a road of ground that submerges in a green barley cultivations sea. Following this road we arrive at a point in which the position of the objective point is indicated in the perpendicular of the road, toward the left and to some 140 meters.

We stop and we begin to walk among the barley guided by the GPS, very educated by Belén so that not to damage the cultivation, until the screen itself full of zeros.

They have arrived at our point of confluence in a quick way and without large complications.

I create that surprised by to be seeking something that is not seen, in the middle of the plain “La Mancha”, surrounded of green and plain for all sides, the group seems to accept that has found that something a little esoteric and not itself if of easy explanation and comprehension.

A point of confluence of a meridian and a parallel. .... the WGS84 datum... Seems that is a moment for the meditation. :-) After the opportune photographs in a somewhat warm environment and with the hunger threatening, we direct us toward our vehicle and toward a “merendero” very next, I create that the “Mesón del Águila”, where we replace strengths with the sensation of the objective reached.

Subsequently we direct ourselves to Albacete where we give a small walk by the center of this pretty city and, after taking an ice cream and to present to return to see us, we say good-bye of Belén and we initiate the trip of return to Murcia, where we arrive at average afternoon without another individual.

And it finishes this experience, with the hope that him seen and lived can help to understand and to know something more upon the place in which we live, the Earth.
