20-Jul-2002 -- After having a successful confluence point hunting in Yugoslavia, 45N 20E, we decided to find this point in Croatia. It seems to be very dangerous, because there were serious fights ten years ago in this area. Some maps showed that this land is full of mines. On the way to Vukovar we have seen lots of fields with red flags and ribbons, which show us that these fields are full with active mines nowadays yet.

We were a bit worried about it, but later we realized that this pace is safe. We found a long path in the forest near to the border. This path was the nearest way to the confluence. But it was 8 p.m. when we reached the area of the point and the forest seemed too dark and our GPS didn't work in these circumstances.

So maybe next time we will find the point.
