21-Aug-2002 -- After a few days in the bush near the Kruger National Park with my wife I was able to convince her to visit this confluence point. As per map it wasn’t too far off the road from Tzaneen to Haenertsburg in the Limpopo Province (previously known as Northern Province). However the area is very mountainous and so we were not sure if it would be possible.
We left the main road onto a gravel road which seemed to lead into a valley going south. The gravel road brought us into the right direction through thick forest. About 1000 meters to the confluence point we had to stop at a "No entry" sign, which made us think for a few seconds, but only a few seconds. We found the confluence point after some climbing of hills within a pine forestry area. Since my last confluence point was as well in a pine forest, I start wondering if I am really in South Africa and not in Canada or Norway.
This was a very scenic confluence point. In the valley are some lodges for vacation and the whole area is only about 1 ½ hours from the Letaba Camp in the Kruger National Park.
