26-Aug-2002 -- Part 3/3 of confluence hunting on 26 August 2002: After our second visit to N64E30 earlier that day (15:05 UTC) we proceeded towards the town of Sotkamo.

Our final confluence spot on that day was to be between Kuhmo and Sotkamo. The last 5 kilometres we drove in a rugged dirt road and we had park our car 4 kilometres away from the confluence spot because the road became almost impassable.

We trekked further along the road for about 3 km and the last kilometre through dense forest. The sun was already going down and the temperature was dropping below the dew point so the forest was getting misty, just like in a “swam murder mystery”. We reach the exact location at 17:45 (UTC) which was also the time for sunset according the GPS device.

After visiting N63E29, N64E30 and N64E29 on that day and after driving 750 kilometres in 13 hours, as well as getting various insect bites we felt like true confluence crusaders!
