15-Sep-2002 -- Well, we tried to find this confluence but just when we got close, the e-Trek GPS was smoking! A faulty battery had to be removed quickly from its battery compartment.

The confluence seems to be located inside the Krakatau Steel area, among factory buildings. We could not get into this fenced area at this time. We got as close as 6°00.722'S 106°00.530'E (this is where we took Photo #1). The stack in the picture is the approximate direction of the confluence.
