01-Dec-2002 -- On the way home from Myrtle Beach, I convinced my family to visit 34-79. Our first stop was a dashpoint about 1.65 miles away in Bayboro, SC. After visiting the dashpoint, it was a quick trip to the confluence. We drove east on Highway 67, turned right on Black Bird Rd. and then left on Bluegrass Rd. We drove a short way down Bluegrass until we got about 100 or so feet from the confluence. Like a lot of South Carolina, the road was very sandy. At this point, my son and I got out of the car and walked the rest of the way. I found the confluence to be on the south edge of the road, making it very easy to get to. After getting all zeros on the GPS, I took pictures in the north, east, south, and west directions. As we drove away, I snapped a couple of pictures of the house near the confluence from my car.
