11-Dec-2002 -- I found this confluence just a bit before sunrise. The previous visitor's directions were quite helpful. I parked on the side of the road between Espanola and Chimayo across from a small arroyo. I hiked up the arroyo until I found a break in the barbed wire fence (which, by the way, is very old and in disrepair). I continued up the very rocky hillside, taking care to avoid the large prickly-pear cactuses. It was a beautiful, clear crisp morning. There was snow in the shady places, but it was never an impediment. The point is near an ATV trail and a rocky side-hill. Since it was before sunrise, the lighting for the north photo was poor and it didn't turn out.
I was glad to get back to the warmth of the car. I was lucky enough to visit two confluences today, the other being 38N109W. It was a great day!
