31-Dec-2001 -- We stayed in Colombo for a few days, when we decided to make this confluence.

We did not know what to expect in this country of jungles - but it turned out to be an easy one! It was about noon when we left the hotel for a 1 1/2-hour-drive and we were able to get as close as 600 metres to the confluence by car. A short walk through rice fields and we got there! The confluence is about 50 metres away from the slight valley you can see on the panoramic picture.
