17-Mar-2003 -- Before going on a business trip to the Trøndelag area, I noticed that there are two confluences close to the city of Steinkjer.
This one seemed the easiest to reach, it had already been visited, but I wanted to repeat the trip. I brought cross country skis with me, but was very disappointed when I flew up north from Oslo to Trondheim, and realized that there was much less snow than usual in the area. (The first visit was made about a year ago, one week later in the year, and with excellent snow cover.)
I followed road 762 through Ogndalen, at Skjellegrind I took the exit towards a slick road test track (for training new drivers in the road conditions to be expected in Norway in wintertime).
About a km past the test track I passed an open gate, by now it was obvious that this road was used for logging and really wasn't intended for a small rental car! I made it to the end of the road, but at this point I had to accept that with the very variable snow cover (from none to 50 cm in patches), it would be very tough to walk the final km to the point, and with skis on the patches of bare rock would be equally difficult.
I therefore decided to call this an attempt, and try 64N 11E instead.
