18-Mar-2003 -- On Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at 3:00 pm, we traveled by boat 40 minutes north of Mandalay, Myanmar up the Ayeyarwady River. Stopped on the west side of the river and walked south along a riverside road. Borrowed two bicycles and continued southwest along the road for 2 km. At exactly 22N we came upon a dry riverbed. We then walked west for about 1 km and found 22N 96E in the middle of a (dry) rice paddy.
