05-Jul-2003 -- ?I reached this confluence with my brother Jay today. We were traveling in a two-car
caravan on our way to visit Yellowstone National Park. We traveled today from Logan, Utah
driving past beautiful farms and through high mountain valleys in southeastern Idaho. Eventually
we crossed the border into Wyoming in Star Valley.
My wife was in one car with me. My parents and my brother were in the other car. They all waited while Jay and I took a walk. The point is south and east of the town of Etna in a field of alfalfa hay. We parked within 400
meters and walked along the edge of the growing crop and then crossed through it for about 60
meters to the point. It was a beautiful cloudless day. It was my brother’s first confluence!
Thanks for getting us out!
