25-Oct-2003 -- On viewing the web sight we noticed that there were three CPs in a row and they were situated along the Trans Australian Railway, which is a 1782km railway running from Port Augusta in South Australia to Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The line roughly follows the 31°S latitude in Western Australia and incorporates the longest straight stretch of railway in the world (478km).
Having left Esperance on the evening of the 24th Oct, we travelled 500kms to the Trans Line east of Kalgoorlie where we camped for the night. This confluence is situated in open eucalypt and bluebush country approximately 150kms east of Kalgoorlie and 1.7km north of the line.
We then headed to 31°S 124°E and 31°S 125°E before heading home.
It was a round trip of 1300kms to complete the confluence visits.
