18-Apr-2004 -- On our way back to Pretoria, South Africa from a visit to the Namib desert in Namibia, we decided to visit this Confluence in Botswana.
A road passed the Confluence and we had to walk about 600 meters into the bush. I was not sure if there were any predators or snakes but took my hunting knife with, just in case. It took some time to navigate through the bush/brush but we got to the Confluence in about 15 minutes.
I took the photographs with the help of my wife Ilse and navigated back to the car. She prepared a nice lunch for us and we were away on our return journey home.
We deviated from the tar and had to drive about 150 km of badly corrugated gravel road to incorporate the Confluence in our trip plan but it was well worth it.
