29-May-2004 -- I'm writing a book called "Fun with GPS", and I needed a "mini-chapter" on Degree Confluence. Since the book is very graphics-intensive, I decided to visit a nearby confluence to get pictures.
44N-72W turns out to be an easy visit, especially with the benefit of previous explorers (Thanks, Dennis, Mathew and James!). I found the spot without difficulty on my way home following a morning spent GPS-tracking visitors in the Montshire Museum's outdoor Science Park. I must admit that the view from the confluence looks like the woods behind my house, but the GPS doesn't lie! I was there!
