18-Jul-2004 -- This confluence was over 3800 meters in the Pamir Mountains close to the Tajikistan-Chinese border. Unfortunately, it was located on the other side of a mountain. The country is high mountain plateau in the former Soviet Union.

We will plan another visit (possibly next summer) with walking and climbing gear and to attempt to approach site from the opposite side.
