08-Aug-2004 -- En VIAJEROS, nos reunimos amigos, conocidos y algunos por conocer, con el objeto de recorrer parte de la gran geografía de Argentina.
Siempre buscamos un pretexto para llegar a algún lugar desconocido.
Con el desafío de "cazar" confluencias hemos encontrado motivo para acercarnos a lugares que quizás no tengan gran interés turístico pero si nos muestran distintos paisajes de este país.
Este año nos propusimos "cazar" unas 20 confluencias en 10 días.
La S32 W66 fué una de ellas, en realidad la tercera.
Fuimos un grupo de 8 personas en 4 camionetas.
Ese sábado 7 de agosto de 2004 ya habíamos logrado hacer la S34 W65 y la S33 W66.
Entusiasmados con los logros continuamos camino hacia la siguiente (S32 W66).

Estábamos en la provincia de San Luis en una zona de especial belleza turística.
Visitamos la Cueva de Intihuasi ("La casa del Sol" en quechua).
Una cueva natural en la que se han encontrado restos que demuestran que ha sido habitada desde hace mas de 9.000 años.
También visitamos en la zona el viejo pueblo minero de La Carolina, con socavones abandonados de donde se extraía oro hasta hace poco tiempo.

Allí tuvimos un pequeño inconveniente con uno de los vehículos en el que perdimos una hora de luz. Ello impidió que concretáramos la tercer confluencia ese día.
Desde la Carolina cruzamos la "cuesta larga" hasta San Francisco del Monte de Oro (pintoresco pueblito), continuamos camino a Quines y de allí a La Candelaria, pueblo muy cercano a la confluencia. El sol ya se había puesto así que sólo un grupo de avanzada se escurrió en la obscuridad a realizar un acercamiento exploratorio para el día siguiente.
Las fotografías satelitales nos mostraban que luego de hacer unos kilómetros por un camino de tierra, nos deberíamos internar por una senda apenas marcada que nos acercaría a poco mas de 2 Km de la confluencia.
Grande fue nuestra sorpresa al descubrir aquella noche que el gobernador de San Luis nos había construído una flamante ruta asfaltada que pasaba a escasos 400 metros del punto por nosotros buscado.
La zona es semidesértica, pero muy recientemente los productores han implementado gigantescos sistemas de riego en los que un gran difusor gira en círculos proveyendo de agua a superficies de mas de 220 hectáreas.
A la mañana siguiente no hubo más que regresar con el resto del equipo y, a la luz del día, tomar las fotos para mostrarles a ustedes.

08-Aug-2004 -- On (http:VIAJEROS) travelers we mmet friends, new and old, with the objective to look over the Great Argentine Geography.
We always have good excuse to find an unknown place.
With the challenge of "hunting" confluences we find a motivation to get closer to places that don’t have many tourist interest but yes they show the beautiful sights of this country.
This year we have the purpose of hunting 20 confluences in 10 days.

The S32 W62 was one of them, really the 3th.
We where 8 peoples and 4 trucks

That Saturday 7 of August we already had made two confluence, the S34 W65 and the S33W66.
Enthusiastic with the success we where going to the next, S32 W 66.
We where on the beautiful SAN LUIS province, we had already visit the Caves of Intihuasi(“The house of the sun”on quechau language).Where it was found that living people where settled down there 9000 years before.
Also we went to the old mining town La Carolina, where we could see the place where not far away they extract gold.

There we had a small problem on one of the vehicul that take almost one hour to be repaired , that obstruct us to reach the 3rd confluence of the day with sun light.
From the La Carolina we cross the “Cuesta Larga” reaching San Francisco del Monte de Oro (nice old town), continued after to Quines, and from there to the La Candelaria, nearby town from the confluence.
The sun had already gone , but advanced group anyways slip out on the night to make a exploration of the best approach for next day.
The satellite photographs, shown us that after making a few km of dirt, we should go inside a path that will approach us at least 2 km.
Big was our surprised when we find that night that the gubernator has made a brand new asphalt road that put the confluence point at only 400 meters from the road.
The zone semi desert , was recently irrigated with a giant water systems that goes on rounds the fields with big wheels, giving water to more that 220 hectares.
On the next morning we just went with the complete team and with the day light we took the photographs to been shown.

08-Aug-2004 -- In VIAJEROS ci riuniamo tra amici, alcuni conosciuti ed altri nuovi, col solo proposito di percorrere e conoscere l’Argentina.
Sempre cerchiamo un pretesto per andare in qualche posto remoto e sconosciuto, al di fuori dei circuiti turistici tradizionali.
La caccia di confluenze e’ un buon motivo per percorrere migliaia di chilometri su strade e stradine sconosciute ai piu’.
Quest’anno ci siamo proposti di visitare 20 confluenze in 10 giorni.

Dopo la S33 W66 abbiamo visitato la Cueva di Intihuasi, il villaggio La Carolina, ed abbiamo avuto un piccolo inconveniente ad uno dei veicoli, per cui non possiamo raggiungere la terza confluenza in tempo per le foto con luce, proseguiamo verso La Candelaria, attrraversando san Francisco del Monte de Oro e Quines, arriviamo che e’ gia’ buio, per cui mentre ci sistemiamo in una pensione un veicolo va in esplorazione per trovare un cammino che ci serva domani mattina per raggiungere la nostra meta.
Avevamo visto nella foto satellitale un cammino che ci portava a 2000 metri dal punto, pero’ con gran sorpresa troviamo una nuova strada asfaltata che passa a soli 400 metri dalla confluenza, e’ una zona desertica, dove recentemente con imponenti sistemi di irrigazione a pioggia incominciano a coltivare, un solo impianto mobile copre 220 ettari, va e viene mosso da centinaia di motori elettrici e compie quello che fino a pochi anni fa sarebbe stato un miracolo.
Il giorno 8 Agosto di mattina andiamo tutti sul posto, camminiamo 400 metri e visitiamo la confluenza, foto e via.
