04-Sep-2004 -- Actually, I’m quite embarrassed that I have not visited this confluence before now. It is just a few miles from the house I own in suburban Atlanta. It was not until I read of David Mower’s recent visit in a geodashing report that I realized this confluence was so close. I was in Atlanta on personal business for the Labor Day weekend and resolved to remedy this situation.
It was a little after 10:00 AM on Saturday that I made my way the 10 miles or so from my house between Alpharetta and Duluth to the confluence a few miles north of Lawrenceville in a pleasant residential neighborhood (looking north from the confluence). I parked in front of the single story brick ranch home at 1470 Ashwood Way. The confluence appeared to be a few meters from the front door in the front yard. When I knocked on the door, the lady of the house appeared. She was quite agreeable and said I could photograph her house and my GPSr in her front yard. I quickly got all zeros on my GPSr, took pictures in each direction (across the street to the east and to the south) and returned to Alpharetta.
