22-Sep-2004 -- I had heard that the ground in Scotland could be very boggy, but I had no idea of what I was about to endure.
57N4W is one of the most difficult things I've done in my life.
I parked the car in a small pine forest in Drumguish and walked up the private road as suggested by Richard Webb.
After 4 or 5 miles I left the road and made my way up Meallach Mhor to about 1960 ft. It was difficult getting up as the ground is very slippery, but even harder getting back down.
At the bottom I crossed a small river and then a tricky little climb through very thick bog to the confluence point. I returned to Drumguish along the Allt Chomhraig. Along the way I saw dozens of Red deer, rabbits and birds.
All in all it was a very difficult but very rewarding day.
