02-Oct-2004 -- Having completed a successful visit to 28°S 117°E, my wife Sandra and I, and my brother John and his wife Mariane headed north to Meka Station. There we met station manager Bob Grinham and his daughter.

Bob was happy to give his permission for us to access the confluence point, and gave us directions and detailed information about the best route to take. After a very interesting chat we headed north to the Roderick Woolshed, then 5km east to the first cattle grid, then 4.5km north along the fence, and finally 1.3km west along another fence. We were able to drive a little further north from the fenceline, leaving a short easy walk of about 800m through open bush. John and Mariane stayed with the vehicles to boil the billy, while Sandra and I walked to the confluence, this time with Sandra navigating the way. Again, the wildflowers were everywhere.

We completed the visit just before sunset, then backtracked to the main road and headed into Cue for the night.
