21-Apr-2014 -- While on a trip to Birdsville over the Easter & ANZAC holiday long-weekends, we headed south along the Birdsville Track in South Australia towards Farina Ruins and the Flinders Ranges. Along the way, approx 14 km short of the Clifton Hills homestead, and near the intersection of the 'Inside Track', we noticed on the GPS that this confluence was quite close to the main track.

We hadn't made any plans to actually visit any confluences, but we nevertheless decided to go for a short 375-m walk (despite there being what seemed like a plague of flies) to visit this one. The terrain was easy to traverse, mainly flat ground, covered in small flattened sun-baked rocks that had an almost purple colour under the hot sun. This is typical of the Sturt Stony Desert where this confluence sat. After leaving the confluence we continued south, and camped at Mungerannie Hotel. Definitely a nice (quiet) part of the world!
