(visited by Sam Gallucci)

17-May-2007 -- I have relocated to Colorado. On my way there I reached 2 confluences and tried 2 geodashes. I reached 36N 115W at around 8PM. Realising how quickly development was reaching the area I tried to drive as close as possible to it. I found that the streets come very close now. I parked near a small park that was green with grass and had a table. Near the back of the park, the confluence was only some 500ft(150m) away. But the park is elevated (along with the house pads around it) comapared to a concrete drainage ditch behind it. I drove around to the end of Mission Dr. Mission Drive dead-ends at the beginning of the ditch with large rocks stopping anyone from entering the area. It seems like they stopped building the area. The pads, ditch, retaining walls, park, and streets are all done...but no construction of homes.

I walked along the bottom of the ditch to a point where it intersects the wash near the confluence. I walked up the wash and toward the confluence. By now it was dark and with not too much moonlight out, I had to take my shots quickly. I reached a point where I could place the camera on large rocks...I couldn't find my tripod. I took the shots and found my way back to the Subaru. Onward to 38N 113W...but even with a 63 second exposure with flashlight and flash assist...the pictures came out too dark and probably not to the standards of the Degree Confluence Project. I will return on a moonlight night.
