  51°N 7°E (visit #20)

#1: The point in the field, close to the edge and view to the North

(visited by Jean-Luc Frérotte)

29-May-2013 -- After the visit of the point 52N-7E, I continue towards the point 51N-7E. It is in the suburbs of Cologne right along an important railroad.

The easiest way to reach the point is to take the exit 24 on the A3 highway and to go to the junction of Düsseldorferstraβe and Roggendorfstraβe. There, a small narrow road goes towards the east and you can approach the confluence with the car with less than 30 m.

It's raining more than this morning, it is a flood. The point is right at the edge of a cereal field. I get easily the zeros on my GPS. It is the twentieth visit of this point! There is just a line of trees which separates it from the railway. In the landscape towards the North-West, there are some large industrial buildings, and among them the one of Bayer.

It's raining really too much. Just when I leave the point, a train passes. I continue my trip to the last point of the day: 50N-7E.
