26-Sep-2023 -- While in Grenoble, I spent a few hours visiting this Degree Confluence Point, to the North. After admiring the often spectacular scenery in this part of France, I arrived at this (very easy to reach) point, which lies in a (currently grass-covered) farm field, next to a paved road. The point itself is not particularly interesting; I have visited many points just like it (in a rectangular farm field, surrounded by hedgerows). However, a drone’s-eye view reveals the true beauty of this point: It is next to a picturesque village, and to the East there’s a tree-covered gorge, with a view of the Alps in the distance.
Here is a remote-controlled aerial video of this confluence point.
