22-Mar-2001 -- A beautiful day set me into a touristic mood. I took a car and drove it almost to the very confluence of 20E longitude and 50N latitude. The surroundings were all crushed by heavy machinery since it is a building place of a south ring road of Cracow (at last!).
Here is what our reporter noted:
"The point of n50e020 is located on a plain in open terrain, in a small and sparse forest with nice birch trees in it. Just 70 meters west there is a hedged village farm and 50 meters south is a forest. Inside it a thick blackberry bush tried to stop our daredevil - in vain. With a GPS device in his hand directing him, he pushed forward, unstoppable. After 8 meters of fighting thorns, he saw his desired all zeros on the display. HURRAH! Happy with victory he stood still for 7 seconds and then rapidly took out a photo camera. Photos: first, second. Camera shutter warmed from constant clicking. After a fourth one a reflection came - leave some frames for future, you have so many confluences to go! Suddenly - he walks away 20 meters, southward, again rises a camera to his eye. Incredible - he still has energy to click!"
Here our message stops. Our reporter backed away, leaving our conqueror contemplating a still space and passing time.
Confluence you at the next meeting (or the other way round... )
