(visited by Ross Finlayson)

16-Jan-2018 -- From 36S 140E, I rejoined the A8 highway and continued southeastward. At the town of Keith, I headed southward, ending up on the coast at the town of Kingston SE. I then continued south on the Princes Highway (B1), before turning right (southwestward) down a gravel road that passes 490 m northwest of the point. (Alternatively, I could have just parked beside the Princes Highway; it passes 670 m east of the point.)

The point lies in the middle of a flat farm field, with a few sheep grazing. The view is pretty much the same in all directions. The only noteworthy feature of this rather boring point is an old well (with a water tank) 150 m northeast of the point.

From here, it was a long drive back to Adelaide - but fortunately I got to experience the beautiful Coorong National Park around sunset.
