12-Aug-2024 -- This is the 5th out of 10 reports visiting confluence points during a 10-day bicycle trip from Biała Podlaska (Poland) to Chemnitz (Germany). The story starts at 52°N 23°E and continues from 51°N 21°E.
In the morning I started cycling from a village near 51°N 21°E called Bodzentyn. After cycling 1/360 around the world, I reached this confluence at 1 PM in the heat of the early afternoon. I approached it from the north, on road 3914E coming through the “long” village Kajetanów. These typical villages consist of only one row of houses along a main road and can stretch for several kilometres. At a remaining distance of 600 m I left the road, turning into a sandy track. Even though it was not a huge distance, pushing my bicycle through the deep and was not pleasant. The last 200 m I walked without my bike across the already harvested field upwards to the confluence.
After the visit, I was bitten by a bee, the sting can be seen in the last picture. I finished cycling for this day at Włoszczowa and took a train to Krakow, where I spent the night with friends.
