29-Dec-2001 -- 52°N 112°W is located in Sullivan Lake, about 1 Km from the west shore, at a point near the center of the lake.
The lake is quite large--(we estimate about 15 km by 20 km)--so looking north or east or south you see only the lake for as far as the eye can see.
It appears that the water level in the lake has been higher in the recent past. At the confluence the ice was the color of mud so the lake is likely very shallow there.
The confluence can be reached by travelling east on Township Road 35-2, starting at Secondary Highway 855, for about 10 Km. The last 2 Km take you through a flat cattle pasture and through marsh grass that is about 75 cm high and growing in shallow water. Everything is frozen solid and the snow is about 20 cm deep. After the grass ends there is about 100m of shore where the snow is dirty, then it's the lake. There are some snowmobile tracks in the area.
