29-Apr-2024 -- En route back to Fort Collins from Oklahoma City we decided to break up the drive by hitting two confluences in central Kansas. We crossed our fingers that the field this one lies in would be fallow, and we were in luck. We parked on the dirt road SSW of the point and walked less than 100 yards out into the field to zero out. No fences. It was a peaceful Monday morning, 62°F and the sun warming our shoulders. We could see the Whiteside Co-op grain elevator to the northwest, and see but not hear the traffic along U.S. Route 50 to the north. Back on the road by 9:50am westward to the next confluence.
