18-May-2021 -- From Moab, Utah, I took Interstate 70 and then the (paved) Moore Cutoff Road (aka. road 803) to a dirt road at [38.93819,-111.06806]. Then, a short drive to the waypoint [38.93869,-111.06232] that Shawn Fleming noted: A 4WD dirt road, about 5 miles from the point. My plan was to drive northwards along this road as far as I could, and then mountain bike and/or hike the rest of the way. I was expecting to do a lot of mountain biking. To my surprise, however, I was able to drive (in my 4WD SUV) the whole way along this road, passing just 0.31 miles East of the point, at [38.99712,-110.99556]. I parked here, and hiked the rest of the way. This was an easy hike, across flat desert terrain, ending with a hike along a dried-up creek bed.

This is a stark but scenic location. A prominent rocky ridge lies just to the north. Unfortunately a rock cairn - covering a disintegrating geocache box - marks the point.

After visiting the point, I continued north-westward along the Moore Cutoff Road, stopping at a pullout at [38.94015,-111.11052], where there are Native American petroglyphs (of rattlesnakes), and dinosaur tracks. Be sure to stop here if you visit this point.
