16-Mar-2012 -- This point was an easy grab. I started from Yazd in the afternoon as it seemed the sandstorm that had forced me to stay for 2 days in the city would lose in force. However that was just an illusion.
I arrived on the point just before sunset, the 2 km off-road to the point were drivable. It is a flat gravel area just before some sand dunes and a small moutain. First time I didn't have to get out of the car to get the picture of the GPS. I drove spot on.
I decided to spend the night on the point to take some more pictures in the morning. I tried to get to the foot of the montain to seek some protection of the wind. However it became quickly sandy and I didn't want to seek problems in the dark. The most important is still to have the car on flat ground to sleep on a flat surface, so I stayed on the point.
The night was strangely calm, but as I was brewing my coffee in the morning, the wind picked up stronger than ever. It was a nightmare to fold the tent in such wind and I didn't even bother to get my camera as you could see even less than in the evening with all the dust flying around.
