Luego de visitar el mirador de los cóndores en la Sierra de los Quinteros, comenzamos el lento descenso de las sierras y luego recorrimos muchos kilómetros de caminos polvorientos por el sur de La Rioja, hasta llegar Milagro, un pueblo a la vera de la ruta 77, que en este tramo bordea el ramal ferroviario que unía las provincias de Córdoba con San Juan y Mendoza.

Dentro del ejido urbano de Milagro visitamos la confluencia 31S 66W, que queda a unos 50 metros de una calle del pueblo. Como aún nos quedaban muchos kilómetros para llegar a nuestro destino (Cruz del Eje, en Córdoba), decidimos registrar la confluencia desde el camino, sin internarnos en el terreno donde podríamos poner en cero el GPS.

After visiting the “lookout of the condors” in the Sierra de los Quinteros, we began the slow descent of the mountains and then traveled many kilometers of dusty roads through the south of La Rioja, until we reached Milagro, a town on the side of Route 77, which in this section borders the railway branch that linked the provinces of Córdoba with San Juan and Mendoza.

Within the urban limits of Milagro, we visited the confluence 31S 66W, which is about 50 meters from a town street. As we still had many kilometers ahead to reach our destination (Cruz del Eje, in Córdoba), we decided to register the confluence from the road, without going into the terrain where we could put the zeros in the GPS.
